A map I built to make it easier to follow whale sightings around Puget Sound.
Sightings are usually shared across posts and comments, which makes it hard to tell where an animal has been or where it might be heading. Spyhop puts those reports on a map and connects them over time.
I built the product end to end, including the interface, backend, and automated tests.

A small orbital mechanics simulator I’m building to make trajectories and maneuvers easier to understand.
It includes maneuver nodes, time controls, and a tested physics engine.
Most of my professional work has been helping teams figure out where software is likely to fail and how to catch those problems earlier.
That’s included test strategy, automation, and validation for large data migrations.
How I work
I talk with the people involved, follow the data, and look for places where handoffs break down.
If something needs to be checked repeatedly, I look for a simple way to make it faster and more reliable.
Automation still needs review. I run it, debug it, and make sure it solves the problem we actually have.
Experience
CHG Healthcare
Led quality and validation for a large Salesforce data migration. I focused on catching mapping and data issues early and making sure the right things were checked at each step.
1-800 Contacts
Started in manual QA and grew into a senior engineering role focused on automation, release quality, and preventing production issues.
Operations and supply chain
I worked in operations and supply chain. That’s probably where I learned to pay attention to how people, tools, and processes affect one another.
Outside work
I’ve spent years training, performing, and teaching partner acrobatics. It’s challenging, collaborative, and a lot of fun.

I photograph wildlife around the Salish Sea. That interest is what eventually led me to build Spyhop.
